Did you get tricked on April Fool’s Day?

April Fool’s Day is a day dedicated to pranks, jokes, and harmless tricks, where people try to fool friends, family, or even the public. While some believe the tricks should come to an end by noon, there are no real rules governing the day.

People are, however, expected to keep their hooliganism innocent. The day is meant to have fun, not hurt feelings. Tricks like faking a pregnancy or emergencies are generally looked down on. April Fool’s Day is not a time to pull a fire alarm, for instance.

Although several theories have been proposed, the origin of April Fool’s Day is unclear. It may date back to the 1500s in Europe, possibly linked to calendar changes. It has been celebrated for hundreds of years and some countries observe it differently than others.

April Fool’s Day has been increasing embraced by companies. A quick scroll on social media shows numerous posts from an array of companies taking part in the day.

Whether you are planning to prank someone or just stay on alert to not get prank, remember April Fool’s Day is supposed to be all in good fun.
