If gift wrapping is the bane of your existence, we have some tips to make it more tolerable.

Wrap as you buy. It’s much easier than trying to do it all at once. When you wrap as buy, it doesn’t feel so much like a chore and it will also make your home feel much more festive as the days before Christmas approach.

Delegate. Many malls or local service clubs and charities offer gift wrapping for a small fee. The money donated to local service clubs and charities then often go back into your community and make your town or city a better place to live.

Make it fun. Invite a few friends over for a wrapping party. Share paper, ribbons, and a few festive snacks. What’s a better time to crack open a bottle of spiced rum and mix it with some eggnog?

Batch wrap but combine it with something you enjoy. Turn on your favourite Christmas movie and treat it like a movie night. It's OK to take breaks while wrapping, and if you're over 30, we recommend not wrapping while sitting on the floor!

Don’t forget alternatives to gift wrapping. Bags are a great solution for gifts that are difficult and awkward to wrap. Stores also often sell decorative boxes that only need to be secured with a couple of pieces of tape.
