Unsure what to do this long weekend? Here are some ideas!

It is the perfect opportunity to spend some time outdoors. The snow is likely gone from your region and the temperatures are much more warmer. After such a long winter over many parts of Western Canada, it’s time to get outside. With May long weekend being the time many provincial parks open to the public, consider visiting one and see what nature has to offer.

With the warmer temperatures, consider going for a walk or a bike ride. There are many benefits of exercising outdoors such as soaking in the sunlight, breathing in the fresh air, and getting a look at the trees that are starting to bud and the plants that are about to bloom.

With Monday being a national holiday and many Canadians not having to work, perhaps it is a good opportunity to spend more time with family. You could take your family out to a restaurant for a meal, a movie, or unique activities available to you where you live.

The extra day is also an ideal time to fit in the spring cleaning you’ve been waiting to do. Think about getting your yard ready for summer like taking out the patio furniture or doing any raking you didn't have time for in the fall. Perhaps there’s some chores you’ve been needing to do around the house, but just haven’t had the time for.

If anything, be sure to make a little time for you. Self-care is very important and maybe you should spend time sleeping in a little longer or even having a good soak in the tub! Take all the time you need for you this long weekend.
