By tackling tiny decluttering tasks, you can make a significant impact without feeling overwhelmed.
Clean off a surface like a dresser or a desk. These are common spots in a home that can be cluttered pretty quickly. By cleaning off these spaces, which are usually in highly used areas, it will bring you peace of mind and help bring mental clarity.
Organize a drawer. We are all guilty of having at least one junk drawer we use to put items away that may be useful one day. Consider going through it and deciding what can stay and what can go. There are also many ways to organize a drawer by purchasing relatively cheap dividers or containers to store what you decide to keep.
Delete an app off your phone. This is an easy way to bring more order into your life. Perhaps there’s a game you no longer play or an app you thought you would use but didn’t. By deleting an app, you're just not decluttering your home screen but you’re also freeing up valuable memory on your phone.
Clean off one shelf in your fridge. Your fridge is one of the most forgotten spaces in your home. It is easy to let expired foods accumulate, especially if you have a recipe-focused household. Decide on a shelf to work on, do an inventory of what’s there and give it a quick wipe down with soap and water.
File or shred one pile of paper. Many of us have piles of letters or other materials we’d prefer not to recycle. January is a great time to go through letters you received the previous year and determine what’s really worth holding on to.
